We routinely offer patients a hand scale and polish at their check up appointments to help keep on top of any minor plaque build up and to reduce the amount of visits needed.
For patients with heavier plaque build up and staining or signs of gum disease our dentist may recommend full Hygiene sessions. These sessions give a deeper clean to remove hardened plaque. Some patients may require several sessions to begin to see an improvement in their periodontal health.
Some patients may be recommended to have routine hygiene sessions every 3 or 6 months as part of their long term care.
