Snap-on Smiles
Snap-on Smiles are a new addition to the smile enhancement techniques available in the U.K.
They are made from durable acetyl resin. This material is strong but slightly flexible which makes it the perfect material for a Snap-on Smile.
Although the Snap-on Smile is removable and can replace missing teeth it is not a denture. It does not cover the soft tissues to any degree so it does not affect your sense of taste and is very easy to adapt to; also it can only be used if you have some or all of your own healthy teeth remaining.
Because it clips on over your existing teeth there is no need to remove substantial amounts of tooth tissue and usually no need to remove any tooth tissue at all.
A Snap-on Smile is a simple and completely pain-free solution to having the smile you always wanted and yet keep your own teeth completely intact at a fraction of the cost of crowns, veneers, implants or bridgework.
To get a Snap-on Smile you will need only two appointments:
At the first appointment we will ascertain what kind of smile improvement you would like, discuss the various alternatives such as veneers and examine your existing teeth to ensure they are healthy. Once, and if, we have decided that a Snap-on Smile is the best option I will take some impressions of your teeth with an elastomer material, I will take some clinical photographs and these will be sent together with a precise prescription to the technicians in California .
At the second appointment I will check your Snap-on Smile to ensure it is what we asked for and then try it in your mouth. At first it will feel strange because it is new and I will show you some techniques that you can use to allow you to adapt to it quickly. It can be adjusted, but often this is unnecessary. I will show you how to insert it and remove it correctly and how to take care of it.
You can wear your new smile throughout the day or night. You can eat with it, it won’t stain (even with red wine) or collect food. It is, however, best to leave it out for some part of the day or night to allow your natural teeth to be cleaned and your gums to self-cleanse.
