Over the last few years we have seen in increase in adults who are interested in orthodontics to improve the look of their teeth after years of putting up with misaligned smiles. Our  smile is a big part of our identity, and a confident smile can not only change how we feel about ourselves but also how others perceive us.

Improvements are continually being made in Orthodontics making it easier than before to improve your smile and in far less time than ever before.

Straight teeth are not only beautiful, but also assist in maintaining good oral health in the long term, crooked and crowded teeth are hard to clean and maintain, leading to problems later in life. Straight and evenly spaced teeth are easier to keep clean. Aligned teeth create a better bite, which may improve how you chew food reduce headaches, and strain on areas around the jaws.

We have chosen to offer two different types of orthodontic systems to give our patients choice on their treatment;

Fixed Orthodontics

Fixed OrthodonticsA fixed appliance is our preferred choice in orthodontics as every stage of the treatment is carried out by our dentist, giving us and our patients full control over how treatment is looking and allows us to make any minor adjustments easily along the way. We have chosen to use a system called Damon braces which are designed to be discreet, comfortable and easy to keep clean. The brackets which attach to the teeth are more comfortable than many other types of bracket because the outer surface is smooth, they don’t need elastics so they look neater are more secure and much easier to clean than traditional brackets which means your tooth is less likely to stain or discolour.  The length of time braces need to be on varies depending on how much movement is needed but the most common length of time is 3 to 6 months, after which it is usually recommended that a wire retainer is placed discreetly on the back of the teeth to keep them in their new positions

We can offer a Free Orthodontic consultation  for fixed appliances to asses suitability, and we will provide you with a written treatment quote.

Prices start from as little as £700 for a partial arch.

Removable Orthodontics

Aligner web

We use a system called Smile Tru for our removable orthodontics, Smile Tru provides patients with a series of clear  aligners designed to fit over the teeth and gently guide them into the desired position. The aligners are barely visible when being worn and only need to be removed when eating, drinking hot drinks and for cleaning.

Smile Tru aligners are made by specialist technicians at the Smile Tru lab.

After a consultation with our dentist to asses your dental fitness we would send impressions of your teeth to the lab, where the would make a digital scan and send back images of what could be achieved with their orthodontic aligners along with a report detailing any treatment needed to make space for the teeth to be able to go into their new position and details of  length of time needed and which price bracket your treatment falls into. If you decide to go ahead your new aligners can then be sent to us, for your dentist to fit.

The cost of this Orthodontic consultation and report from the lab is £100.
